At a glittering Supply Chain Night, where over 450 CSCOs from the best Indian companies
assembled, the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISCM) revealed the “Top 20 Supply Chain
Champions” – the first ever research backed, data driven ranking of India’s top 20 supply chains.
The Supply Chain Ranking is to evaluate the supply chain efficiency, use of technology, sustainability,
and network efficiency of public listed companies. The analysis included over three public companies
within twenty-one industry sectors. The ranking is designed to serve several goals:
1. Recognize the best performing supply chains in India
2. Benchmark supply chains against the best in class.
3. Create a real definition of supply chain excellence
4. Understand how supply chain strategies contribute to value creation
5. Set strategies for supply chains based on the best practices.
The organizations featured in the ISCM Supply Chain Ranking harness relationships, digital transformation, and innovation to expand and sustain their revenue streams with both existing and new customers. They are cultivating advanced capabilities in sustainability, analytics, and supply chain risk management. These capabilities help them in swift recovery from disruptions and develop insights to identify and mitigate unforeseen risks.

Know MoreMethodology
Starting with over 1000 listed entities, the ISCM research team identified the top 300 companies for a deep dive analysis. In the second stage, ISCM research team analyzed the annual reports of these 300 firms for multiple quantitative parameters
ISCM analyzed the qualitative factors based on three major classifications:
1. Supply chain intensity – ISCM identified and quantified the company’s efforts on
digitalization, reach, planning, sustainability, converting these qualitative parameters into a
measurable and comparable quantitative measure.
2. Democratizing supply chains – ISCM looked at capability building and DEI – that represent
how the company will build a culture of excellence, not only within the organization, but
also across the entire value chain.
3. Supply chain maturity – ISCM measured change management, resilience, strategy – a measure of the excellence in supply chain management – from planning, procurement, logistics, sensing demand, and robust risk management practices
To identify the true supply chain champions in India, ISCM research identified and analyzed
international benchmarks to gauge how to identify the potential Top 20 Supply Chain Champions. ISCM developed a proprietary algorithm that would convert sector-specific parameters to arrive at an equitable score for ranking
